Marital satisfaction in long-term partnerships faces numerous challenges including communication breakdown, emotional disconnect, and unresolved conflicts that accumulate over years. This study examines the impact of relationship counselling interventions on marital satisfaction among couples married for ten years or longer in urban India. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with 120 couples (N=240 individuals) from Delhi and Mumbai, divided into intervention and control groups. Participants in the intervention group received 12 weekly counselling sessions using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method approaches. Marital satisfaction was measured using the Couple Satisfaction Index (CSI-32) and Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) at baseline, post-intervention, and three-month follow-up.
